The all-time worst FO I had was a 1500 Cessna 150 driver from SAN (who was also a United FA on a leave). Still makes me shudder to think about that twit.
I dunno, I love the guys that argue with me that Gulfstream guys are better pilots because they were taught to fly like "airline" pilots from Day one, well I disagree, thinking for yourself is a much more valuable experience........... I consider myself to be a pretty good stick and that I attribute to going out and flying, whether it was the hundreds of hours of airport hopping in all kinds of weather, or the tough crosswinds I faced in the J-3.............Its when the Sh*t hits the fan and a situation arises that hasn't been taught or discussed in a 121 ground school where a pilot is truly put to the test, I am not saying that the 121 only type of pilots cant handle this, but from my personal experience I have gotten into some interesting situations/emergencies in the GA world that has made me a much better pilot..............
