FDX hotel discounts?

How do I find out which hotels, if any, we get discounted rates for personal travel?

The only way I know is to call each hotel and ask if you can get the "contract rate". Different hotel managers will give you different rates so be sure and get the name of the person who gave you the quote.

There use to be a place on the green screen that had our corporate number to use, anybody know if it's still active?

Still works though....gives you a list of the hotels and you know what we/they pay...

I have stayed at 4 or 5 of the hotels for personal use and they have always given me the contract rate if the Hotel was not sold out....

Good luck

Glad to hear some places still will do that. I had no luck recently with IAD hotels. Might have been the time of year.

I've searched the Bulletin Board for both this subject, and the old car rental FedEx discount numbers that were previously on it, with no luck. If anyone has used them recently, please advise of the new location.

Much thanks in advance.

I've always used the ASU travel guide. Most of the discounts will apply to FDX but it's always good to ask first.

I had a 3 day layover in SFS followed by a deadhead to KIX and a 36 hour layover before operating back to the States. Rather than being stuck in Subic, I took the Airbus down to Bangkok and rode with the crew to the Grand Sukhumvit, where I did some R & R for 4 days before deadheading directly from BKK to KIX, where I was picked up by the normal transportation and driven to the hotel. The key to any/all of the above is prior coordination. You do need to check with the hotel about being offered the FedEx rate, and pre-coordinate with ground transport, via email. Good Luck!
