Both UPS and IPA have now agreed
that the parties' shared goal is to raise UPS pension levels to those
enjoyed by the Federal Express pilots. In other words, the parties agree
that the A Plan plus the B Plan combined should be roughly equivalent on
both properties. The parties are not in agreement, however, as to the level
of increases needed to achieve this goal.

Capt. Sir, how's everything else going in the contract talks? Has the hourly pay been desided on yet and what are you hearing about a time frame for an agreement? IOW do you think Mgt will come around before the holidays?

Is all this the average of the two positions or the IPA hand?

Ahh, the famous CD... So Im my opinion that makes your info completely invalid...

This is what I heard (could be rumor or fact)

I heard that beginning (Year 1) Capt pay was starting at $230.00 and goes up from there, max 12 year scale.

"A" plan is currently on the neg table at 1.43% but the NC is holding out for a solid 1.5% with no SS offset, this to be settled in DC next week.

With contract upgrades, UPS will need to hire approx 800 pilots to fill in the gaps.

"B" plan to go to 14%

Leather Jackets

Guarentee to be somewhere between 68-75 hours a month, 13 months a year... (28 days a pay period)

Originally, I thought some of this was BS, but the guy whom I spoke with also knew about the NMB bing in SDF last/this week and a few other items that proved to correct.

Ive got a good feeling that we "Might" see something on paper B4 Peak, but UPS is famous for ****ing in your corn flakes when you least expect it. Also, getting a TA means nothing, it still has to pass the memberships approval and Ill tell you, we have VERY HIGH expectations.
