Ya, I’d definitely look at Washington State. High Asian population so your wife won’t feel alienated, snow-capped peaks and salt water beaches all close by. Horizon and Skywest also have bases in state. Seattle itself is walkable with decent transit, but high crime/homelessness nowadays so I’d avoid it. The surrounding suburbs are quite nice but pricey.
Gig Harbour is the pilot ghetto, but check out North Bend if you want more mountains and the peninsula if you want more water. Skiing, scuba, and sailing all easily accessible. For more rural and affordable check out Ellensburg or anywhere east of the Cascades.
