First off, thanks T-P for the reply. This forum is a great resource and your input seems particularly relevant. I totally agree that my first and best option is to stay put, however, some things may be beyond my control. The next few weeks and months should make the future more clear.
It's a small world, because, like Fly4hire, I too have dual citizenship- US and UK. I am interested in knowing whether that opens any doors. Last time I checked, the UK was NOT part of the EU, at least not monetarily- are they considered EU citizens in the sense that they/we have the right to live and work in EU countries?
What is involved in getting a JAA license? Is there a company out there that specializes in handling the training for the crossover for those with an FAA ATP?
As to Bengalsfan's question, yes, I do believe that FedEx and UPS and SWA undoubtedly represent some of the best opportunities out there right now- but, as was pointed out, I would rather avoid starting over from scratch at this point in my life.
Also, I am a caveman when it comes to the etiquette for formating these posts and replys. I don't know, for example, if there is a way to reply to each individual post or if I should just add onto the thread as I have done. I won't be offended by any constructive advise.
