I am actually going through training with a female WMU grad now at DAL from ASA, never an ASA captain. I met her friend, also from ASA, she is a captain but not at DAL yet. So I would say that the program is going and producing.

DAL is NOT doing a program like that now, but they, or their feeder airlines, will probably be doing in in 3-5 years.

This program was done back in 01. I know a few women that were at ASA, then came to DAL in this new wave. They are top notch. No PIC time, but DAL vetted them with a Type on the 737-800. Most fly and think better than you or I do.

Delta tried to lure minority pilots by offering free training at Western Michigan University. This was pre 9/11. I don't know what happened to the employees who took that offer.
