Quote: now that independence has been down for almost two months (officially at least), are there any opportunities to purchase any of their former CRJs... i am currently working for an operation that runs a scheduled air taxi in the northeast and is considering the upgrade to small regional (similar to colgan, but with CRJs) to run out of BDL... obviously, i wouldnt have to look much further than here for pilots, myself included, but where are these aircraft today and in what shape for how much money?
Don't forget about ACA's Do328's. (T-props AND jets). All lined up in MYR.(Myrtle Beach)

ACA didn't fly the 328 Turboprop, Just the DoJet... Think the T-props that are parked are former PSA or AWAC birds.

To whomever purchases N649BR:

Please dig out the lovely wooden pen from where the glareshield meets the windshield on the left side and forward it to me. I lost it down there when I tossed the dispatch release and it up onto the glareshield in utter desparation while watching our "ramp circus" during our ACA days in ORD. It was a gift to me from ALPA and I treasured it. I did not intend for it to become a permanent part of the aircraft weight. Thank you.

Spike,

Do you happen to have a larger size copy of the image that you use as your avatar? I've been trying to get copies of the posters for the ridgelines.org website. ~josh

Yes, you're right. I didn't mean for it to come across that way. Just know there are both T-props and jets there. ACA had most of the jets, and PSA had most of the T-props

Out of curiousity, are any of the Great Plains 328Jets in MYR as well? There used to be some of them parked in OKC, but I didn't see them last time I was out there. It's possible that they were just moved on the airport though.

As far as CRJs go, the last time I was in KTYS there were about 8 parked there in NW livery.

Josh, I do remember seeing some Great Plains DoJets at MYR when I flew one of ACA's down there.

IIRC, TYS is a contract mx base for Pinnacle, that's what the CRJs are doing out there. (But then again perhaps I am thinking about BNA?). Can't remember.

TYS is home to an Express Jet mx base. I don't know about Pinnacle.

Quote: How does it affect you... Why do you care if you are already have a job?
Every time a pilot group signs a concessionary deal, it affects everyone. Every time a new airline starts up and gets pilots to fly for substandard wages and/or working rules, it affects everyone. As a pilot in hope of a decent standard of living, you SHOULD care - whether you currently have a job or not.
