Quote: ...what about Flex?
Navajo -

I ran into two Flex crews in Millington recently. I had the opportunity to speak with one of them. I had to cut the conversation short since I had a Navy CAPT waiting *in the jet* for me - but they were very nice. So far....so good

Quote: Alrighty...after giving dozens of rides to NetJets Pilots over the last couple of years, I can not remember even a single one acknowledging me or my crew's mere existence...Today flying into ORD, for example, I smiled and nodded to the NetJets Captain walking off my aircraft and still he did not so much as look up!

So I'm just curious, NetJets folks, why no respect? Does it matter that you're not jumpseating, but paying passengers? You're in uniform. You're Pilots. Many of you are former RJ-Drivers...and besides, we're all flying these "little airplanes!"

We're just looking for the same respect we give you is all. Y'all don't have to kill with kindness, just a friendly nod of the head, shake of the hand...!
If all you're doing is smiling and nodding, have you considered the possibility you're not even getting their attention? When making these SILENT salutations, are you performing them in a fashion that ensures the "receiving party" can see what you're doing??

How about this.... at the end of your flight, try standing at the cockpit door and say "Goodbye! Thanks for flying with us!" to EVERY passenger as they walk by. When the "revenue-generating Pilot passenger" approaches I'm pretty sure you will be pleased with the result. I wouldn't be surprised if you receive a cheerful "Thanks for the safe ride Captain!"
Its common professional courtesy to at least acknowledge a nod, not to mention just a quick hello.

I always do, if the crew is not busy.

Ive had NJ, United, AA, Frontier, Skywest, Keylime etc etc on board, United guys never say hi, nor does NJ
Never say never, Skaz.

HI!!!!!
From me and all my fellow pilots at NJA.
I'm a NJ pilot and I ALWAYS say hi or bye whichever the case may be. I hate it when people generalize about an entire group based on the limited experience they have.
This has got to be one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever seen.

Glad to see SOMEBODY finally got the joke. Sarcasm is one of the trickiest things to convey in written form.

Yes, this is a ridiculous thread.
haha this is priceless... I've never heard a truck driver b!tchin about his fellow truck drivers not saying hi to him at the truck stop.

Even if the trucker is a furloughed pilot?
