Quote: I agree, "Blood Meridian" is a must read. Judge Holden has to be one of the greatest literary characters of all time.
Another great book is "Life and Fate" by Vasily Grossman.

Quote: Not aviation but Atlas Shrugged has always been one of my favorites. Take out the railroads and put the airlines in place and it is eerie how similar certain parts of the book are to what is going on in America. Long book but very interesting.
I read this when I was a kid, and re-read it a couple of times as an adult. A life changer!

If you want to support "one of us" check out this author. He flies for American, he's in the AF Reserves and is also a POST certified member of law enforcement.

It's "easy reading", less complex than say Tom Clancy, but it is good reading none the less.

I like to know I'm supporting someone who has been in my shoes. Especially the era, which didn't end long ago, where entire reserve squadrons were sharing 1 working aircraft in order to retain currency. The rest of them were all broken, and had parts taken off them to keep other birds in the air.....

Quote: "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot"
by Richie Lengel
If you happen to have this on your iOS 14.4.2 or less (10th Edition), it will not work if you upgrade the iOS tp 14.5. No warning, just a message that app developer must update for the app to work. You get no credit, they want you to buy it again and blame Apple that they cannot update it at a discount or upgrade the old app.
