I'm a bit out out of touch with that segment of the market, but $24K a year isn't too bad to (presumably) instruct in a warrior IF you have full benefits provided in addition to that gross. Certainly not great, but if I have it figured correctly, not too awful bad (actually, it sucks, but given where we are today, not too bad).
As I recall, I made about $17K + health, dental, life, ect when I was instructing full time back in 1990. If I guess (and it's just that, a guess) correctly, you are coming out about the same IF you have the benefits with the package.
My real attitude comes not from what you are making now, but from your statement:

Hopefully you were exaggerating for effect. If not, this is exactly the attitude often known as "SJS." If you are willing to prostitute yourself to fly an airplane, then you are indeed part of the problem. I truly hope you are more dedicated than the many who simply envisioned a quick shot from a "zero to hero" program, skipping over the kind of work I'm guessing you are now doing. With that in mind, I hearken back to a mantra from one of my former colleagues - KDA:
Know - what you are worth
Demand - that level of compensation
Accept - nothing less
There will always be one hundred (or thousand) idiots claiming you can be replaced by the next guy on the street. They will ultimately get what they pay for (you pay peanuts, you get monkeys). Don't be the monkey, don't even talk like you'd consider it (which is what I gleaned from your original post). Stand up for what you are worth - be it CFI'ing in a Warrior or flying an RJ, don't settle for less than what you deserve. That's all I'm saying. Your comment sounded like you were happy to have anything, regardless of compensation or QOL; that's all.
