I was in KIX two weeks ago for the first time in 4yrs. and went by the 500yen breakfast lady that crews used to go to, but she was nowhere to be found??? DOH! Heck the building is gone, there is some fancy new glass one there? The fire station next door is still there so I know I was at the right place. Anybody know where she moved? Thanks

Take Red line subway to Nakatsu station (M-15), the next stop after Umeda Station. Leave the station via exit number 4, which drops you on the sidewalk pointed in the correct direction (south).

Turn left onto the street just under the edge of the elevated train line. Do NOT cross under that line. Walk about 8 blocks; you’ll cross under an elevated highway (Shin-Mido-suji Ave), and then cross under a rail overpass (JR Kyoto Line). In the very next block on the left you will see a brown awning with a yellow “Y” on it, you found it.

Her hours are 0730-1030 (M-F) and 0800-1100 (S). She is closed on Sundays and holidays.

Breakfast is now 600 yen.

Wow! that must be some breakfast Personally I wouldn't go through all that trouble even if was free. But that's just me.

Last time I was there, 4 local young men ordered breakfast and when the food arrived, started laughing and took many pix of the food!! Probably was a FaceBook post shortly thereafter....

It is only a short train ride & a quick walk -- I've seen guys go further out of their way for a Starbuck's!

In this case, "breakfast" is code for...just breakfast. 600 yen is about $6 USD. I think anymore it's more nostalgic fior those of us who used to walk just a few minutes from our old layover hotel which was close to her old location. But you do get A LOT of food even by American standards which makes it the biggest breakfast you'll find in a Japanese-operated cafe in the city.

You rich FedEx guys are really something. All that just to avoid paying the $35 or $40 for an American breakfast at the layover hotels in Japan. Yaw'all (you all) should be ashamed of yourselves.

I hate to burst your bubble, but "Thai massage" is code for a Thai Massage, which is a very unique massage technique. I've had many a Thai massage and always came away feeling relaxed and invigorated. Perhaps you're thinking of a rub and a tug, which is sort of a body to body massage, among other things. Live a little, it's more about the journey than the food. It took me 4 hours to find it last time (which was the first time at the new location) Of course it was some Japanese holiday and she was closed. But, the trek was fun.
