My favorite is, we are going to swap you out of your on time aircraft. So that a late crew can take your plane. Then we are going to swap you in a flight that is already late. So instead of being on time everybody is running late.

Soc's call this one. Blew my mind. All I could do was laugh. All these memos about performance and they pull **** like that.
Well that's stupid because we have maintenance in SDF. Compass has a hangar there.

I believe that was back in early March. Cause we had line checks that was done by somebody else. Then compass started doing it.

My personal favorite as well. Wait we are on time..yes we know but we need to put them on this so they can go...wait now we are both late....uhhhh yes. And that makes sense to you? Uhhhh, yes you don't see the big picture.


The other great one is two crews going to an outstation. One crew brings the airplane in and the two swap with each other on a 35 minute turn rather than each crew keeping the plane they brought in.

Yet, it's on us.

The good news is, with the growth, they will have to start streamlining things to make the operation run better. I second whoever said upper management needs to come out and ride a couple legs and see what is actually going on.

They may have been covering for Compass. We had Compass doing maintenance when we first started going to SDF last winter.
Are we having United Ex aircraft operate on American flying? Aka 835/836HK flying AA routes? Or did these get painted generically/AA colors recently? Pretty confused seeing them flying AA routes.

83x aircraft we're repainted in AE colors several months ago. They replaced all the old US painted EPs

So the XRs replaced them on the UAX side?

That's way above my pay grade but I'd imagine if it's painted in AA colors, it's no longer flying for United.

Yeah this bugs the heck out of me too. After everyone is sitting down ready to go, and they hand you the count where everyone is sitting, that's when they should close the door. But no, they go back and have chit chats with passengers meanwhile our departure time passes us by, the gate agents and ground crew are like *** is going on, not to mention having the plane sit there with the door open with no jetway is a major safety hazard. That policy needs to change.
