Congrats Man! I'm hoping to have an interview there this month, Be Blessed!

I have a SODA and was hired at Pinnacle with no problems, granted, it was for an annoying eye thingy. As long as your SODA goes with a valid First Class medical, you should be good to go.

Mesaba had a guy who was run over by a jet bridge while working the ramp for America West. He had a prosthetic leg and flew until he broke his real leg.

Congrats on making it despite any obstacle...

Here is the article others were taking about. The guy's name was Logan Flood. GREAT story. AOPA Online: AOPA Online: 'No airline would ever hire me' - The Logan Flood Story

Thank you for posting a link to this story. We all could learn a few lessons from this one. Thanks again.

Both the OPs story and Logan's sure makes me feel bad for ever complaining about "how hard I have it"... Stories like these make me want to push myself a little bit harder and be even better, because there are some who have to work that much harder to get where we are, and they turned out great (and usually have a better attitude than most)....

Thanks again for sharing your story.. I know it could be one that is easily kept to yourself, but EVERYONE needs a little inspiration sometimes. Keep us updated how training goes for you and if there are any difficulties you do encounter, come on back for more support... Not to mention you never know who you may be helping further down the road....

I kept this story saved in my bookmarks for any time I felt like I was ready to call it quits in aviation (or anything for that matter)... I would love to meet him some day and thank him for just being himself and "living the dream" no matter what...

You'll be fine. I can fly this plane with two hands and you could fly the King Air better than me with one. I don't see that changing any. Just hurry up and get to training.
