I just sent out the resume and app today. I am a nubie at this and it was my first app sent out.

It's really not a bad place to get your foot in the industry door. Good contract (but obviously STILL concessionary and STILL working on a new one). Great people and if you live in or move to base that makes it easier. Who knows what happens in 2017...

I've heard several people say 2017, where are you getting that from? The JSA with US Airways expires at the end of 2015 with the possibility of extended that mid-way into 2016 based on certain undisclosed factors (though I've heard that they are performance based). I have never heard anything from senior management that these extensions would be anything significant, so I think we're talking months not years.

Quote: Congratulations on AirWis. Will you be commuting? Tough to tell where you will end up at first, probably ORF or LGA, but you can hold any base within a few months. You will be a line holder the fastest in LGA (6-8 months?).

My class went through training quick. 2 months start to finish with literally only a few days break, if that. Indoc/Systems is in Appleton with simulator training in Charlotte. Know your flows, callouts, acceptance, IAC when you get to CLT. You need to know the IAC cold.

We just had a vacancy for numerous FO lines in DCA, and LGA a few months back. It seems as if ORF is getting senior once RDU closed, but again, complete toss-up to where you be assigned from training.

Best of luck in training!
Lawn - I start training in Oct, can you PM me and entertain a few Qs about what to expect at Air Wis? I'm brand new to the 121 world. Thanks.

I've applied at AW, have my ATP and 3500tt and was told that I dont meet the requirements. Am I blacklisted or something?

I had an overnight in YYZ this past week and saw an AWAC new-hire group waiting for a ride to the sim center for training.

Quote: Anyone have an idea as to how long after sending in the resume and app until the first call?
I applied at about 2am on 10/31. Had a call by 2pm on 10/31, but couldn't call back until today, was out of phone range until midnight last night.

Does anyone have any idea when the next round of interviews may be? I could not make the last one and worried I may not get a call back.
