Quote: Yes, once you have been here a year, have 1000 hrs, and are recommended by the chief pilot.
Is it a no interview flow like what TSA has with Frontier once the above requirements are met?

What is the timeline for the ATRs in terms of total replacement of the Saabs? I know 20 by the first quarter of 2020 but that means keeping some of the Saabs? Also any news on the seaborne merger what will integration be like? Does the seabourne merger create obstacles for contract negotiations?

Its not a flow, it is a guaranteed interview.

As far as I know as soon as the airplane is a approved, which it is in the “final steps” as of last week, they will be transitioning as fast as they can. Seaborne doesn’t have too many pilots and are not unioned. I’ve heard that they would be required to be “rehired” by Silver and even go through our training at one point. I believe the biggest obstacle to the new contract is these new airplanes and the scope. We entered mediation this month and hopefully we can reach an agreement. They agreed on new pay rates last year but those are now open for renegotiation. I believe once these airplanes are approved by the FAA, things will rapidly change for the better. Hopefully they will come to an agreement with a new contract in order to attract more pilots. The quality of life is good here, however the pay is suffering and not bringing in enough pilots.

Anyone have details on how the Emerging Aviator programs work? Seems like after you get commercial and instrument rated they'll pay 10k towards getting you to 1000 hours, and another 5k to get you to 1450.

How does this work? I assume this program locks you in to working for Silver for a period of time? If you leave early do you pay part or all of it back?

Thanks!

Here is what I was told when I emailed them with the exact same questions:

Q:If I elect to receive the $10,000 what is the contract period once I hit 1500 hours?
A:After your interview it will be determined if we help you complete some or all of the ratings needed to become an instructor. You start the training out of your pocket and we will help you with the last $3K needed to complete CFI, last $3K needed to complete CFI-I and last $4K needed to complete MEI or Multi Add On, per each rating that we help you obtain your commitment will be 6 months, so if we help you with all three ratings your commitment will be 18 months.

Q: You have listed under 1000-1450 that there is a $5000 bonus. So if I come in with 250-1000 hours, I would get $10000 and then additional $5000 or is it either/or?
A: You can only choose one of the programs

How quickly does Silver upgrade folks into the Captain's chair? Is it like many other Regionals, at 1000 hrs of turbine time on the type of aircraft? Or is there a longer wait?

FO Schedule
Could someone share an example of their schedule for a typical month at Silver? I’m very interested in the airline and I am more concerned about QOL than pay. I’ll be living/commuting from Jax. Thanks!

I'd also like to get some information about schedules/pay, but I can't really find too much first hand information. Is APC up to date?

Look at pages 632 and 635. Both give you some ideas of trip schedule.
I have a class date in May and would be happy to answer more questions once I get through training.
