Are we actually playing the "who's POS airline is better" game? Eagle 10 yr CA is 87 and RAH is 82...10 yr FO is 42 verses 37. BIG FREAKIN DEAL. Like that's the reason why AMR wants to introduce non wholly owned contract carriers.

...oh and Bolo...Frontier doesn't make money, RAH does. Frontier without RAH welfare would be gone a long time ago..

Don't you think your view is a little misguided? I went to Colgan when it was a bottom feeder, and helped vote in alpa and a contract. I could say that I've done more than you ever have as you just happened to already have a contract. Not saying I believe that but saying it's an arguement.

But in reality I could care less as you need to grow up and see the big picture. Here at Pinnacle we have guys that have been and will keep going to republic. You looking down on my pilot group for doing that?

I'm sorry, but I think everyone misse dthe memo. The memo is this:

If you work for a contract airline, flying contract or "sublet" jets, no matter how big they get, no matter how we believe they should be mainline flying, no matter how sweet they look, you will not get the contract you like.

You see, management considers regional jet flying, "contract jet flying," no matter how big these CRJ's and ERJ's get. Until you work for a Brand that is it's own, and a Brand that is successful, you will continue to fight with a management team that does not consider your personal employment as value, that does not consider its own employment as value, and does not believe in its product. Like you, they are looking for the exit (and or padding their resumes or financial portfolio) until the rip cord is pulled.

Work smart, network, and get a job where the paycheck maches the paint job. Then you'll see the work rules, hotels, and job protections you seek.

I understand where you are coming from, it's hard to find flying jobs. But going from pinnacle to republic will not help anything! It only makes things worse by letting management know we are willing to work for **** poor wages and contracts. Have a little pride in what you do!
It's time to start telling management enough is enough! There are jobs out there that will pick up pilots, we have skills they need and want. Work somewhere else until things improve. That's really all I'm trying to say. I was a little harsh in saying I would look down on you, heat of the moment. In all honesty I wouldn't and I never have. But can't we all stand together and say its enough instead of always looking out for number one?

I would really like to know what you have to say to all the Eagle furloughs that went to RAH and Skywest (the two companies that will probably get a lot of American flying).

I wouldn't say anything different to them. I've been furloughed before. I could have Gone to Mesa or republic, they were hiring. I chose to get out of aviation for 4 years and wait it out instead.My love of flying brough me back when eagle was hiring. All I'm saying is, you have a choice. Why not say no to crappy contracts. I'm voting no to the next eagle TA, we will get shafted. I will leave, mark my words. It's not worth it.
