Lets not get blindsided on this , lot at stake and I am sure company will want a chunk out of us ........ Make Scope the priority and don't give away the store ...........Don't screw the junior guys and gals

Sure would simplify bidding if all planes paid widebody rate.

Then the company could swap out 757 for 767 with no difference to the pilots.

And there'd be less training - pilots wouldn't have to go back and forth narrowbody / widebody to chase money.

Seems like this would ultimately save the company money, and then everyone can truly "bid what they want to fly."

Just read the FDX Negotiating Committee Update email and saw this line about a Sec 25 proposal from the company , "Most noteworthy, the proposal contained a form of Preferential Bidding". I personally can not imagine voting for any contract that has any form of Preferential Bidding in it, and hopefully others and our neg. committee feel the same way. JUST SAY NO!!!

A couple of months ago, I emailed the Chairman, my block rep, and each member of the Negotiating Committee. I told them that from everyone I've ever talked with, any form of Preferential Bidding or changes to vacation or retirement (except improvements) would get a resounding NO from the crew force. There are a few sacred cows around here, and those 3 are the main ones. Each one responded and said, "Not on my watch." So I'm going to email them all again and remind them that any attempt on these fronts would be non-starters. I suggest that all who feel that way do the same.

I was in the Capts Course this summer and asked SS directly if PBS was a player. He responded, "It's not even on the table" FWIW....

Throw a couple 3% pay raises in and the vote will be 68% to 32% in favor

According to PC at the last big Instructor Mtg this simply isn't going to happen.

We could end up with 150 757s some day and they can save lots of $$ paying those at a NB rate.

Having a folks sit reserve for both 757 and 767 at NB rates is something they want too.

And that's why I was always surprised at the number of guys that wanted the company to get the 767. Yay, a Boeing, where their monthly pay will end up averaging NB x 1.5 if they're lucky.

But, those lanyards are sure stylish.
