Here we go again. A merger is a long shot. If we do merge, let's make sure any and all international growth in SEA for DL gets backed out of any and all SLI metrics.

As for international SEA growth that AS used to do but doesn't do anymore or reduced, I agree 100%.

No. I'm talking about the international flying and growth that exists because of this code share. If you pulled the code share, you pull all the international flights DL does out of SEA.

But you knew that.

I'm sure you'll tell me that the worlds second largest airline can feed it's own passengers in SEA. Sure, you can--with a bunch of money losing RJs.

I have a feeling that this is the result of a meeting a month or so ago between the CEOs. DAL told AS they wanted to take a couple jets off the market and asked the AS codeshare partners to fill the gap.

As far as a merger goes, why would DAL want to pay for something they're already getting for free?

SLC-SEA may be served by both of us and that has yet to be seen. DAL can't simply stop operating SLC-SEA-SLC and put their pax on AK. It violates our contract.

Why merge or buy them when they can fly your passengers cheaper than you and take the liability away?

What am I missing?
