Any updates on future class dates, number per class, hiring projections, etc?

As far as I know classes are still going. They usually have both a CRJ and a EMB class once per month with about 20 to 30 in each. As far as projections, I have no clue. They don't really tell us much out on line.

Any ideas on what is competitive to be considered for an interview with Skywest?

121 ATP mins and a clean record should get ya an interview.

Thats what I figured, the problem is an 11 year old DUI then. Just got a "sorry" email, and I exceed the minimums. Thanks for the response

Keep your head up. I know of people here that have a DUIs. Maybe someone else can chime in on specifics but unless my FO was lying to me about his I know of one for sure.

Keep your head up and continue to send out the resume. Eventually someone will pick you up. Worst case scenario, you end up at Everts Air Cargo...That said, life wont be so bad there, they need every pilot with a DUI in the system. Flying for Everts, you'll be paid, get real aircraft emergency experience, probably promoted(with DUI), and that's all... Go there as a last resort.......

Hang in there, something should turn up...

Adios

Going back to the OP's question a bit, during the interview they hinted that a lot of interviewing and hiring was going on right now. I could have interviewed almost any day I wanted because they were going on every day. People's times seem to vary, as others have said ATP mins should be enough to get you an interview.

I met a pilot recruiter from Skywest in Chicago on 30 JUNE at a $90 “recruitment event” and told him about an incomplete IOE at another regional. He said he’d liked my honesty and wanted to have me come in for an interview at their offices. 3 weeks later, I get a no thank you email… without ever having interviewed.

Apparently, left hand doesn’t speak with right hand…

If you have a black mark, an internal rec is going to be invaluable.

You can even get hired with an old DUI, but the older the better and it probably needs to at least five years old so you can fly in Canada.
