Is SkyWest still doing the recruitment events or the meet and greet things? I went to one about a year ago. It was a nice deal. They gave a speech on the company and answered any questions you might have.

This is true. I initially got the "thanks but no thanks" email, then someone I knew at SkyWest wrote me a letter and I was invited for an interview a few days later. They definitely asked a lot of questions about the elephant in the closet during the interview though. But the internal rec was clutch.

Called HR. There's a pool now with training estimated at the earliest March. Do they still provide your ATP at the completion of training?

Unfortunately, the recruiter doesn't make the final call. St George does. Heck, even after you interview it all goes back to St George for approval... What could and can help your chances would be an internal rec, good luck.

Yes as long as you meet ATP mins. If you fall just short of the mins now, they'll give you an SIC type. They will fly you until you meet ATP mins then send you back to SGU for the ATP ride. Oral and all.

So what's so bad about Everts?

Flying for Everts, you'll be paid, get real aircraft emergency experience, probably promoted(with DUI), and that's all... Go there as a last resort.......

Hang in there, something should turn up...

Adios

Yup. Offered a slot in November....then it was pushed to January class date. Then, no classes in Jan or Feb email. It is just a slow time with block hours down in the early in the year I guess.

What are the CRJ junior bases? Any chance of getting LAX, PSP, or PHX as a new hire? IAH maybe?
