Called. Same as before. That was quite a wait. Going to enjoy my last few weekends off for a long time.

The IAH 737 base has been shrinking at a good clip for the last year and no 737 awards to IAH in quite a while. My understanding is they want to shrink it even more over the next few months. I know there are many guys in EWR who want it and have been waiting.

Well that's not good news.

Good news for the December 2013 interviewees! It appears after yesterday's calls that BK's last estimate was conservative and everyone should get into class by the end of August. I suspect this also means that the June 2014 group could make it into September classes, though let's wait to see if there are more calls early next week. Here's the weekend snapshot:

We should see some more redux in the IAH 737 but IAH as a base should not shrink but grow 1-3%. Airbus will shrink from other bases and grow in IAH. So, theoretically IAH opportunities should be the same or grow over the next year. Just got to rearrange the furniture a bit. Of course this can all change in 90 days.

Hot off the press from the ORD ALPA Reps... If this is indeed true, will be Good news for more new hires and those wanting to go to IAH...

"The Company will need to train approximately 120 pilots per month to properly staff the 737 for the summer of 2015. The latest vacancy award has 512 movements. With the increased 737 and 320 training, we can expect the unfilled awards to be mostly in EWR and IAH."

I sure hope so! That would be great!
