Looking at the December 2015 Blended Rate tables on Flyingtogether, there is only about $1.00 difference from year 2 onward. Not much of a reason to discount one fleet over another.

I interviewed recently and if you know the study packet inside out you'll be just fine. They expect you to be able to make good decisions but all the technical knowledge you need is in that packet.

What's the best way of handling internal recs? For example, if someone writes a letter of rec for you, what's the best way to include with airlineapps? Would it be worth while to have anything sent to local chief pilot?

When someone offers to write a letter for you, you must send them a link from Airline Apps to their email. They fill out the form online with who they are(it asks when they were hired, if the were hired at United) and the LOR for you. Then they submit it and it becomes part of your APP. Paper LOR's are essentially worthless. Sending anything to a local chief pilot is a good way to annoy them and that is about it. If you attend a job fair (pretty much the easiest way to gain extra points on the application) print out all off your LOR's and include them behind your cover letter and resume.

I was offered a Feb 23rd class but had to defer to June since that is when I can leave active duty. CJO on Jan 21 for a Feb 23rd class...I guess I would say there really is no pool. Congratulations to the rest of my fellow new hires in the pool.
