Default Ual puts jr. Cal bottom of list

(CRM) Crew Resource Management teaches you to indentify and prepare for your biggest threat. Considering the UAL / CAL merger, what is the biggest threat to junior CAL pilots? That threat is seniority integration or the "SSL" (Single Seniority List).

Former CALEX manager and pilot hater, Jay Pierce has managed to infuriate the UAL MEC and their pilots. These pilots are loading up their top union bosses in preparation for battle with CAL. UAL has controlling interest. UAL has more pilots. UAL has all of the political and legal connections. UAL controls ALPA. Junior CAL pilots don't have a pot to **** in. Doomsday is right around the corner and Jay Pierce is making things worse for you every day.

Junior pilots. Are you really pro-union or is it just a social club for you? Jay Pierce hands out scraps of power for junior pilots and in return you let him run rampant. In the process, Pierce has created much distrust and a contentious atmosphere with UAL pilots. You don't care? As I mentioned earlier, you better care because for the most part, they will be dictating seniority terms. They will establish the start point and put you on defense from the get go. You will be using all of your resources, time and energy just to break even. Most of you are non-participants and could not care less what happens. On the other hand, UAL pilots are extremely pro-union and will take advantage of anything they can.

Why are many of you protecting Jay Pierce? What's the point? What has he done for you? Is he better than you? Is he smarter than you? Does he fly more than you? The only thing Jay Pierce has over the rest of you is Full Flight Pay Loss, PSO passes, a luxurious expense account with weekends and holidays off. He hates flying airplanes and will say and do anything to keep his cushy job. Why do junior pilots put up with this self servitude? Do you not see the huge UAL steamroller about to roll over you?

You have been warned of your impending threat. It's up to you to take appropriate action.

In your case, nothing can help stupidity.

UAL controls ALPA? That's a knee slapper. Just a couple examples why they don't:

1. Do you remember where the previous Pesident came from?
2. The UAL MEC couldn't get their stuff together and we ended up with a DAL President ans an AS VP.

That's how much UAL "controls" ALPA.

Spot on......
The halls of ALPA National 'empty' of UAL representatives on the National level is honestly laughable.

I'm sure it wouldn't have had anything to do with the B.W. & the "former" S.Q. "Days of our Lives" episode that played out for all to see at the BOD in Florida would it??? FAR from saying that was the sole issue, but a BIG attributing factor in the eyes of the constituents that were all present nominating/voting.

Whatever the case, we know d*mn well that there were SEVERAL blunders made to have that outcome manifest.....Miles South of Pathetic.

saying UAL DOES control ALPA might be a little far fetched, But saying it DOESN'T and CAN'T?? That might be a little far fetched as well. We'll see EXACTLY what they DO control when this contract is settled and they "Settle up Accounts" at the "FARM". Theres a LOT of stuff on the pendulum swinging CAL's way inside
"The UAL" at the MOMENT. I'll Bet We'll SEE how much hangs onto the pendulum when it swings BACK Toward Center. I suspect all of YOU might surprised as well. UAL has a Very HEALTHY respect and dislike of UAALPA as does UAALPA toward UAL MAnagement.
But?? In the END AS goes UAALPA?? so Goes UAL... and That Even Jay Pierce might want to recognize.. They Never forget ANYTHING!!

ADMIN NOTE:

The forum Terms of Service (TOS) allow us to "remove any post for any reason" although we attempt to provide a venue to allow controversial and unpopular opinions to be shared.

There are some threads that clearly shouldn't be public and are removed without question (SSI, for example). Others are more subjective and moderators are many times asked to become referees in an opinion war.

This thread, despite the decidedly controversial tact in the original post, was a ray of hope for me as an admin. Instead of watching users going down the zero sum path of answering a colorful opinion with flames. Users diffused the assertions with facts in a (mostly) lucid, responsible, and credible manor. Its a breath of fresh air, thank you.

APC as a community, will stand of fall on the ability of users to post rational responses in the face of....um, passionate, diatribes. THAT, is the ultimate form of moderation.

Thanks
