Quick PRIA question:

I was hired with Martin Air back last December, but my IFR knowledge wasn't up to their standard so me and the Director of Training agreed I could leave, get more training and re attend another class date. I resigned from Martin Air; I didn't fail any checkride, PC type etc. I finally went back in March, passed the initial checkride without any issues, and I'm now looking to go to a regional.

My question is will the PRIA show that I worked for Martin Air in December for 5 days and then resigned?

On my resume and when I go to put job apps out in a few years, would it be acceptable to put March as my hire date and not even bring up the December occurrence?...My flying employment can be accounted for from December to March . There are no gaps.

Honesty is always the best policy. Well, maybe not always. But dollars to donuts that will show up on a PRIA. Did you get a paycheck for your 5 days?

Yeah, we did get paid. I'm all about the whole honestly thing, I'm just not sure how to craft it into my resume. It's simpler to just put my checkride passing as my hire date.

And I'm not "lying" about anything. I left on my terms, I was eligible for rehire..

Honestly you did not actually get paid. During training there you only get per diem while in class. You don't get an actual pay check until you pass the checkride. But honesty is always the best course of guidance. It should not be held against you as long as you got your instrument skills back up to speed. Good luck

Are there any training records from those 5 days? Sim training, ground training, ect. If so then I would recommend putting it on

If there are any doubts, request your own PRIA record from the nearest FSDO.

NO. You started an Initial course under FAR 121 and failed to complete it.

I understand your hesitation, but believe me plenty of people have little "blemishes" on their records. Fudging your answers to these questions can torpedo your career much faster and more permanently than just being honest about your record, warts and all. You mark yes, and when somebody asks you tell them the truth and and humbly explain about how much you learned from the experience. 99.5% of interviewers like to see these things because it means you are honest. The fact that you were eligible for rehire speaks volumes as well.

If you mark "no" and the interviewer catches you out in a lie, you are done.
