Quote: I'm coming from way east (ATL) and will be relocating out there. If there is a gap, might be a good time to make the move. Are you paid all the way thru IOE with hotel, per diem??

Quote: The hotel is outstanding, for a Country Inn. If you make it down in time, there is a full free breakfast. About a mile and a half from the hotel is a huge shopping complex with a movie theatre, Target, Buffalo Wild Wings and several more places to eat.
While you are there check out Kennedy School. It's not far from the hotel and is one of the best places to unwind on the weekends (not that the training is that intense but you'll learn a lot and a beer to let loose).
Minor point, but there is no movie theater in that complex. There was supposed to be, originally, but it became a Best Buy and a pet supply store. If you look at them, you can see that the pet shop was intended to be the box office and lobby, and the Best Buy the theaters. I know this due to spending plenty of time on airport reserve and wishing they had followed through!

Portland Airport area shopping trivia hour concluded!

Holy crap I thought there was! I do know that the hotel sits on a golf course and they give us a discount for a cart and 18. The club house has a prime rib all you can eat. I think it's Thursdays (ask the instructors, they know exactly when it is), for cheap!

Quote: Thanks, all good info makes the transition a bit easier. I start GS on 10/06. Looking forward to it. I plan on flying ($$) more than sitting anyway. Taking quite a pay cut.
Just curious, how much do you make for overtime/flying on days off, etc. Is to possible to fly up to 90-100 hrs month/max 121 hours for extra $$$?

I've read in here 150%/HR to 200%/HR (Holiday) I believe, could be wrong. Anyone please feel free to correct me on this. Plus any additional info would be great.

The 200% isn't just for holidays... It's discretionary and the company exercises it regularly. I don't think there has been any 150% in quite a while.
