Yeah some of the guys had not flown since they were furloughed years ago. They still have recall rights at options but didn't make it through the sim at FLex. It really wasn't difficult but I have been flying at least a hundred hours a month. I honestly believe all of them would have made it if FLex needed more pilots. The ones I interviewed with were all good pilots and good guys.

I hear the vote for the new bases passed by a wide margin. This is very good news. Flex pilots now could live pretty much anywhere in the continental USA.

That's correct. The vote passed with a 90% in favor margin. The new bases will take effect soon.

If DC had not purchased Flex Jet and Kenn is trying to prevent a union vote with the prospective merger do you think you would have gotten those bases? Thank you Flight Options pilots and 1108!!!!!

You realize this isn't Flight Info, right? If you think the 1108 is responsible for anything here at Flex then you truly are as idiotic as your post indicates. If anything, by your logic, you should be pi$$ed that your union is getting us better benefits than what you have. Pay, benefits, 401k, etc. But anyway, it would be nice to keep this thread on topic. See you over on Flight Info.

What are you talking about? I am not even a huge union supporter but if not for netjets original union an contract you still would not have the pay and benefits that you currently have. I am not at all mad that you guys have better pay and benefits because when we open negotiations next year we will have some ammunition to use. Contrary to popular belief over there at flex fo has been profitable for several years since the economy crashed and actually has been operating very efficiently since we did not have a corporate headquarter's to bail us out. I think that your new bases are great but you are being naive if you don't think this was throwing the dog a bone to keep him happy and occupied!

So if they send you on day one to a satellite airport like ptk and last day you airline to dtw do they pay for transportation back to ptk? Just curious how that would work. At Flops you had one base and the company always airlined you too and from that base or got you a cab/car to get there.

They will provide transportation back to the airport you started from. And as for income, I made $97,000 last year as a 7th year FO. I bid normal lines, so I never fly more than 16 days per BP. And that doesn't include my bonus or per diem, just W2 earnings.

What is the least amount of hours and/or days one might fly if desired?

I was a 9 year FO at options making 65k when I was furloughed. That is really good pay for an FO in the fractionals. Flex did it right.
