Well I guess we will see how they do on the next round of hedging.

Quote: Socal,

Slip into your Sanuks and relax. We're just poking fun at the experts who scolded us how on just how full of fecal material we've been WRT to things we figured were cast in stone irrespective of how they were portrayed initially, by either mgmt or the line pukes. Its just funny how the turd rolls once loosed from its constriction.

Sharpen your arrows for those who would give your job to a 21 year old or someone from Abu Dhabi who would do it for half of what you do. Beers are still on me.
You should know by my APC call sigh( feel dumb saying call sign, was not a military driver) SoCal...I wear flip flops not Sanuks...but I was just playing advocate for the debate club...you are very correct sir on where to point our arrows...and as for the beers, better make sure neither of us are scheduled to fly anytime soon afterward...cheers!

so, how about some displacement strategy.

Suppose you are in one of the fleets being displaced and you would really like to get bumped, but the junior guys don't have the seniority to go where you want. Well in that case you have to answer Dirty Harry's famous question:

"Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

volunteer for the bump and go to IAH 737 CA or IAH 737 FO (depending on whether you are coming from DEN 320 CA, ORD 76T CA, or ORD 76T FO, or bump to DEN 320 or 76T FO or ORD 76T FO if you are an IAH 737 CA. The company will have no interest in training you in that seat where they are already overstaffed. Then after the delay you get to bump where your seniority can hold.

Risky? Absolutely, but never underestimate the company's inability to accomplish the training they want, so imagine how delayed people could get that they don't want trained!

Final displacement awards were just posted on Flying Together along with updated Jr. Man table.

I have friends that bid from Airbus FO to guppy FO just for better lines and they didn't get trained in time and now they are guppy Captains! You don't have to try hard to get a bump.

I wonder if we can find out how many pilots got bumps because they weren't trained in time? Anyone know if that's published anywhere?

Just check staffing for whatever seat you want to see and look for 8_F_9S under "bid label", those are the bump winners

58. 47 took captain seats, 11 took FO seats.

Edit: what Lerxst said.

Not anymore. Looks like they removed it this morning.

I think it needed editing. Last night it showed a Guppy Capt on the Jr Man table with a seniority of 12500-something...
