PRIA forms after work in China?

Subscribe
Hi all,

I finally have an interview lined up here in the US with a major carrier and have been emailed the PRIA forms required to complete.

Can anybody here give me some guidance regarding PRIA background checks having worked for a Chinese airline.

Specifically, do the Chinese carriers respond to FAA requests or do you list the agency (PARC in this case) as the employer and do the agency's help out with the requests?

And on the subject of PRIA, do you fill out the forms for a part 91 delivery flight of 1 days work? Or are they only interested in your airline history for background checks?

thanks for any guidance,

regards

I have not worked in China, but have worked for several overseas carriers both direct entry and through agencies. I've used both agency address and the carrier's address. I don't know that it matters. I would say the agencies are more likely to fill out the forms than most of the overseas carriers. But in the final analysis, it doesn't matter. If they send out the form and get no response, it has no effect on the process. If they send out the form and get a response that says you failed check rides or were fired, that could be a different matter. But they do not have to have any of the PRIA information returned to them. They just have to send it out.

As far as a one day part 91 ferry, I don't think that counts. They are looking at airline experience, failure to perform on check rides or getting fired. You were essentially an independent contractor for the ferry flight, not an employee.

Correct, the only real downside if you did send them directly to the airline and they did not respond would be that you can not enter sim training (by the FAA book) or ground school (most companys rules) untill 30 days have past since the request was mailed. Again no harm no foul unless the carrier is trying to fill a class with 2 weeks notice....
