Looking for a low time pilot with commercial single engine instrument ratings. Job is 6 months on the road with good pay (hotels and rental cars provided). Time frame is Aug 2015 to Jan 2016.

We need someone who can operate on the road with guidance from the home office, yet problem solve and be self motivated. Microsoft office skills a plus.

Altitude chamber or oxygen use experience requested.

If you're interested, please PM me. This is a good time builder for someone who is looking for an alternative to flight instructing. Roughly 500 hrs in 6 months.

Thanks for looking.

All,

Thanks to all for the quick responses. The aircraft will be a C206. The collections will be at 10K and 15K, hence the requests for experience with oxygen or altitude chambers. It will be one pilot and one sensor operator on all flights. Per diem (food money) will also be paid, and is based on location. We are a Part 91 company. This is a contract position (IRS1099).

As I said, the pilot will be on the road for the duration of the job. You will receive lots of guidance from the home office, but you will be responsible for paperwork, coordination, helping to set up maintenance and inspections, etc.

It will be a great opportunity for someone. You'll get lots of flight time, and the experience of working with FBO's, ATC, etc. There could also be future jobs available.

Guys, stay away from this place. There is absolutely no justification for this to be a 1099 contract position. The employer is simply trying to shift their payroll tax burden onto you. Don't fall for it. There are plenty of reputable aerial survey companies hiring with the same quals that don't expect you to pay their taxes for them.

If it's IRS 1099 then you get to decide when to fly. If you don't feel like flying that day because you want to see a MLB game in the city you're in, then see the game - never mind if they have a schedule laid out for you. I bet that would make the sensor operator happy too. If you were on a standard payroll, then they can make you fly that day's schedule. A 1099 is a contract or consultant position. Also, 1099 means you pay all your medical, your income taxes, and all the social security; from 7.5% to 15%.
