Air Choice One out of St Louis is hiring guys/girls into the right seat of the Caravan for scheduled passenger ops. A friend was hired in at around 250 hrs. You can fly 90 hrs a month. Pay isn't great, but it beats 20-40 hrs a month of instructing. I think they ask for a commitment though.. Also, if you can meet the 121 pic mins at any point.. I recommend coming to TSA in St Louis. Great training and fast upgrade (as soon as you can meet 121 pic mins).. PM me if you have questions about TSA.. I can't tell you much about Air Choice.. just go to the website and apply..

Ditto...Except I have a plane and am looking to share costs to fly with someone else in in similar situation. I'm just a couple hours away from my commercial, have 360TT, and my instrument rating done. Also an AGI.

I'm actually looking to fly full time...like 8 hours per day...and build time toward 1500 fast! I'm based at KLPR, but am very flexible and mobile. I have all the fixed costs (of my plane) covered. It has an IFR GPS, a roomy cockpit, and is affordable to operate. The other pilot's share of the direct operating costs should be only about $22 per flight hour!

When you think about it, X/C flying with another pilot is more similar to airline flying than hops around the pattern maneuvering and landing a C172. It's also a much faster way to build time...

Not to hijack this thread, but anyone know of any potential contract-part time flying jobs for someone with; lets say, 950TT 100MEL and is a CFI CFII MEI in the Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa area?

OP: If you're willing to relocate to the Columbus area, consider Ohio State. We've been hiring off the street for awhile now to cover CFI attrition. The monthly flight hours aren't great (45 to 60 on average), but the quality of the training, environment, and name recognition are worth noting. I've highly enjoyed my time here.

SeaPort airlines would also be an option if you want to avoid instructing. They've hired 300TT pilots who do well in the interview to fly Caravans in scheduled part 135 passenger ops. They have a significant Memphis base. Have heard some negative things lately from pilots about their operation though, so do your homework.
