Just as in any other study offered up for scrutiny ............ You have to know more than just the study itself ........... Who paid for it

Who paid for the NASA study that was only released once FOIA was used to get the data? Why did FedEx want to keep it hidden? Why wasn't the data made available to us to offer it up for scrutiny?

FedEx has kept the results of other "Safety Surveys" from the pilot crew force. Where are the results of the Ender's Report? I know the retired Captain that headed that Inspection Team. I flew with him at a previous airline. Would he give me an "under the table" copy?

Maybe equally as strangely, FedEx did not have Industry Standard Safety Programs like ASAP & FOQA for many years. Many of those same years FedEx had an accident record that topped the industry. It was truly impressive the amount of "bent metal" we left scattered around the world.

At the time one of the world's largest safety organizations referred to FedEx pilots as "cockroaches," They come out at night but you can't kill them.

I have reason to believe that FedEx Management uses "Safety Data" for disciplinary purposes. I have reason to suspect that ASAP Reports are being used for the same disciplinary purposes? The rest of the Industry knows this, it has led to questions as to whether the NTSB could use aircraft recorder data for accident reconstruction purposes (as the NTSB also suspected that FedEx was using the same data for disciplinary purposes)!

Really!*? Why would we EVER allow observers in our cockpits under such circumstances? With the exception of Line Checks (a mandatory FAA event).

I've attended Military (USN & USAF), ALPA and NTSB Accident Investigation Schools. I've never heard of a circumstance where survey results were not released to the participants?

Should we be pulling the circuit breakers for our aircraft recorders? What a revolting concept, it goes against EVERYTHING I've ever been taught about aviation.

Precisely the reason I debate finding a new job, or even a new profession. Is it worth it?
I often find myself dazed, incredibly irritable, or just plain out of it. Not how I want to live 50% of my life.

Is this all you have to offer to the thread? Why don't you give a more detailed argument of why we need to dismiss every study that shows not getting the right amount of sleep is harming us. While I try to understand and help offset the damage this job is doing to me, you just try to dismiss and ignore it. Willful ignorance cannot be overcome.
