SSC Report, August 2015

"The company said to expect the next Vacancy Bid after they complete analyzing the Displacement Bid results. In addition, the company is analyzing domestic flying as they await a new July 2016 best-flown analysis. They expect this plan by the end of August."

Don't look now, but it's the end of Aug.

Also, they have to panic first and redo the entire thing now that marketing has changed the entire plan...

The way I read it the "best-flown analysis" for July 2016 is due at the end of August not a new bid. Who knows how long it takes to analyse the analysis. Maybe Howard will shed some light in his Friday update.

No such luck.

Howie needs to have someone shed some light on him.

Bumping 777 West Coast, 787 IAH? This should be fun to watch. Even more pilots getting paid to do nothing, and others getting 150 hours a month.

I think Manpower finally got a clue, that they haven't got a clue. Even they can't figure out what to do now. Vacancy? Displacement?

This has been the plan all along. The only bumps needed will be 777 SFO and possible some very junior Sfo 787 pilots. The company played this perfectly.

Think they will also need to displace/close the 777 LAX domicile. If they go through with everything they stated there won't be any 777 flights out of LAX.

I expect a great deal of Deadheading of West Coast 787 crews to IAH for the winter. Then at the end of March all hell will break loose on the staffing as they try to move all this flying. Right now it shows that all the shift happens at the end of March 24/5/6/7. IAH is down 7 787 departures after that week. The SFO/LAX plane change info isn't in the system yet, but that is what it is showing in Employee Res for the IAH stuff. If the company goes through with that type of changeover, then things will be falling apart everywhere on both the 787 and 777 fleets!

Dear Ex-con Brothers and Sisters:

Could you please let the 787 Captain seats get down to, say, 4500 on the ol' seniority list? Thank you.

In Unity,
