Quote: Just wait till they try to cover right seat trips with all the Captains sitting around. Its inevitable.
I'm not sure that's legal. Is it? Iv flown with RSV CAs as Bunkie but I don't think they can sit right seat.

Unless of course they offer us a 13% pay raise to extend the contract to 2022......

Capts can't sit in right seat.

How's this? Get assigned your 3rd short call for the month. 12 hours in get released to another short call they just built 2 minutes prior keeping you from getting your hour of pay since it's no longer unused. And next day same exact thing. Talk about playing dirty and exploiting the contract. Too many damn loop holes in this contract for me!

Huh? If you're released unused, it's an unused short call. Assigned a SC the next day doesn't matter. It's just more add pay.

A used Short Call assignment is one in which he is assigned to Field Standby without an intervening Off-Duty Period or is assigned to a Trip scheduled to depart within thirteen (13) hours of the time the Trip assignment is made.

Still unused check Reserve Availability to see how many you have.

No, getting released early to another sc is apparently considered used. The reserve availability list shows this as well unfortunately.

Not true!!! Being released means you were unused! I have gotten paid every time they have done that to me. If Sked or pay told you different PDR it IMMEDIATELY

Yup...As the others have said, unused is unused. If you get another short call then that is unused. You should get the pay. Check Crew Companion and it should reflect it and if not, file a pay claim

I'll look into it further, thanks!

I wish I was a lawyer.....does this mean if I am on SC from 1000 to 0000, and they call me at 2300 to give me a trip at 0900 (10 hours) it is a used or unused SC? The trip has to depart withing 13 hours of them calling you to release you to rest to cover the trip?
