Being rationale - aka data/spreadsheet driven in itself is probably a good thing. Keeps us competitive and avoids doing stupid things.
The question is how much "inefficiencies" is SGU willing to accept for the sake of QOL, employee happiness etc. More importantly, that is very hard to capture in a spreadsheet and hence will likely be undervalued.
