So I just read through the safety thread & it got me thinking about how beat up my work boots are. I work in an auto shop so besides safety toes the main thing is spill resistance. I prefer shoes for the light weight but wouldn't count boots out. I tried going to redwing when I bought the last pair but the few pairs I tried on didn't seem very comfortable & the salesman was a jerk so I went with the old fallback timberland pro. They're always comfortable & I get about a year out of them but they're really heavy & my feet hurt once they start wearing out. I'm looking for something light, comfortable & hopefully not too expensive.
You know these forums are for airline pilots, not autoshop workers, right?
