Health Insurance Costs
What do current health insurance plans at SkyWest look like for families? Monthly coverage costs, deductibles, etc. My wife and I have one infant and are looking to add another 1-2 kids to the mix over the next few years.

Waiting Period?
Hi there! What is the waiting period for new Skywest employees until they qualify for medical coverage? Also, does that waiting period/probationary period begin when you start training or after training is completed?

60 days after DOH, with coverage beginning following month (eg if DOH is mid April, you could have coverage beginning Jul 1).
Go with the CDHP Basic, and any year you expect to have a kid, the hospital indemnity. Including the company HSA contributions and tax benefit of using pre-tax dollars for premiums, comes out to around $8k all-in for healthcare in a given year for a family. Have to hit over $20k in charges for out of pocket max to apply.
