Default Cadet employment center SLC

I've got an offer to go to SLC and do the cadet program. I'm a military rotary pilot. They want me to sign a CJO online before attending. So is this an interview I'm going to or an orientation? I don't want to sign a CJO before weighing other options. Most companies let you interview and sign a job offer after.

The CJO should not be legally binding to you in any fashion. As long as you do not start actual employment (day one of indoc for a pilot) there would be no PRIA records associated with SKW for you.

This sort of thing is done to get potential new hires "emotionally vested" in the company. If there's any benefit to you, feel free to sign up with no real strings attached. Read the fine print.

There are 0 strings attached to the cadet program. Go get fed, get a tour of the hangar, have a 1 on 1 "interview" with a current captain. You really have nothing to lose.

Is the thing they are wanting you to sign the contract for the rotor transition program? If it is, you shouldn't be bound by anything until you accept training money from SkyWest. Once you accept money, then you would be bound to come to OO or pay the money back.

If you haven't interviewed yet and you're going to interview sure! You'll miss a lot of the less exciting stuff for your interview. If you're just going to check out the company pitch and see what the SLC hangers look like be forewarned that you'll come and hear the exact same pitch on day one of INDOC. I don't regret going for my initial EC because I started my clock as a cadet, and the 6 months of seniority helped out with my sims and starts the clock on 401K, bonuses, and a few other benefits. Just understand that you'll be back to do the same thing again for day 1 of INDOC.
