SkyWest exercised a clause in the contract that permitted them to stop service in 90 days with notification to the DOT. The DOT exercised their option for refusal. Nothing has been done in any kind of underhanded way, and it's all been according to the contract. It's all on the DOT's web site; feel free to look it up and see for yourself.

As long as you're researching things, read the transcripts for the last two quarterly financial results call for SkyWest. They've been talking about trimming the pro-rate side of the operation for a bit and for those who have been paying attention, this move wasn't a real surprise. For that matter, it's been brought up here on APC many times about how smaller cities will lose service as 50 seaters go away and as the pilot shortage continue.

SkyWest’s IATA identifier is “OO.”

Does the E175 have a front closet big enough for crew luggage or is it only big enough for jackets? If no closet for luggage, do we just use the first few overhead bins?

Typically the crew puts their bags between row 15-18

Hello all. Excuse me if this topic has been covered already, but I’m currently considering 9E vs OO in an attempt to get MSP as soon as possible. Currently have interviews with both in the next month, so I understand that nothing is guaranteed. I know 9E can be difficult to get MSP on anything but the 200, but even then I’ve heard the timeline can be lengthy. Is MSP seeing more CRJ or ERJ flying and does anyone know how that share of flying is trending? Thanks in advance!

who is 00?

what is LO PAY? Is that Lay-Over PAY?

SkyWest/OO has no issues getting people in the door. They do seem to be struggling with getting people to stay around for upgrade and then stay around a bit more after that.

The closet and first overhead bins are for First Class passengers only. Not for the hired help.

This is true for United 76 Seat configuration, but not true for any other configurations.
The crew member bags are required to be in ZONE D, which on the E175 varies from ROWS 12-15, 14-16, 14-17, 11-13, 11-14, 15-18 or 15-17, depending on the specific mainline partner and number of seats . They are accounted for in ACARS when sending for Weight and balance numbers.
