You can compare the Bid Info previously mentioned /OO/flightoperations/scheduling/bid-information, to the PBS "View Seniority list", compare the guarantee to where you fall and adjust for the number of red lines above. This is available for sure when bids open 10th 0900MT.
Otherwise for a rough estimate that would consider more senior people bidding down to reserve evaluate where your yellow bar falls in the transparency for the bases of interest at /SKYW/CrewMisc/PBSBidTransparency.aspx - this is only not available while bids are being processed and updated for the coming month at the latest 20th at 0900MT. |

Quick question for you all,
I was talking with a buddy who commuted on the 175 and he started talking to me about how drops all of his trips and picks up trips that are both front/back commutable. He basically told me he can easily get Monday-Thursday 3/4 day trips and get weekends off on almost every bid. He got hired on the back end of covid and has been on property for less than a year. Can anyone tell me more information on how someone can do this? Commuting to work even on a short 1 1/2 flight with plenty of flight options still has me stressed out. Biggest concern is not being able to get both front/back commutable trips after a few months on reserve/line holder. Sorry if I sound uninformed, it’s because I mostly am. Thanks for the helps. We can drop trips when we have sufficient reserve coverage....... so never. They probably mean exchange trips for company open time which you still need a lot of factors to line up in your favor or posts them with $$ value and others pick them up. But to address your question, no you won't have luck dropping any trips.
Okay thanks this makes a lot more sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Friend that's sitting around waiting for IOE sent me this re: training...
We’re excited to announce that as of March 1 we have expanded our training footprint to include two additional days of simulator training for initial and upgrading students. The initial feedback about this enhancement has been very positive and is providing additional time for pilots to become proficient in training elements before their validation events. SkyWest is continually working to expand our training capacity. We currently conduct training in SLC, DEN, ATL, STL, CVG, Paris, and soon we’ll be adding Helsinki, Finland and Seattle, Washington. No other airline has more CRJ and ERJ simulators for pilot training. This is an essential component of our formula to respond to pilot staffing and to be ready for growth opportunities. |
SKW vs END
So I have CJOs at both endeavor and Skywest both in early May. I live in Minneapolis, and I’d obviously love to live in base.
Skywest Pros: More airline options kinda Can hold MSP right away Skywest Cons: Long training delays Endeavor Pros: Pay Flow Faster training Endeavor cons: Commuting Thoughts? How bad is commuting to LGA? I obviously love endeavors pay but want to avoid commuting. |

Does anyone have a ballpark on SKW training footprint right now on the EJet? Where should I be expecting delays?
