That's just un *rude word* believable. Especially if it's due to an IOD.
Congrats on getting on with a better carrier though.

Incorrect. If you dequal you can't take paid leave. I took paid leave for April/May. I bid reserve in June. My 90 day currency was due late in June. Guess what? The company was quick to get me current without my input. If you are active (line or reserve), you get paid if they let you dequal. If you are on paid leave or unpaid leave, the company expects you to be responsible and work with them to figure out how to stay current. Otherwise if you dequal, you can't take paid leave. It will be only unpaid.

To be fair coming in and flying currency isn’t that big of a deal. If your not a tool, the schedulers will work with you in what days work best and what bases you can fly out of. They even positive space you to work. I commute and it was painless showed up and pounded it on a few times and went home. Yea it’s an “extra step” but whatever, personally I’m enjoying all this time off. The only thing I will say is don’t just wait to be called, be proactive to get it done. They had 1400 people this month that had to do some
landings, 3 hours after I called I had a trip added and travel booked.

Concur. I'm on VTO and just finished a three day trip for landings. Got called by schedulers who asked for my availability over a ten day period. Flew positive space to Denver then three legs. No drama.....
