Someone said in the other thread that there is absolutely no plan to open the CRJ training house for the forceable future...
ERJ is doing transitions and an upgrade here and there, but no initials there either.
It’s going to be a while... sorry man.

Skywest is allowing new hire VTO until May 31,2021 as of a email sent this month . While I can seek them cancelling that early if required and they stated as such, I highly doubt they will cancel AND restart hiring as they have to burn through 250-300 something people in the training pipeline then they can start burning through the probably 500-1000 people with CJO’s if they want.
After that, general hiring.

Voluntary time off.
Everyone in training either gets 20 hours a month of pay, or VTO but the company pays for heath insurance. Line pilots can get VTO as well. The company can deny it, and will to so as they start needing more pilots.

all the movement in a regional is based on either getting more flying or people leaving. Right now, neither are happening.

I am in the CJO group. I am not anticipating any news until Q3/Q4 of 2021 at the absolute earliest at this point.
I am assuming we will all have to re-interview and then be put in line again. Not sure if prior class date, cadet status, or how competitive we are all stacked against eachother with new qualifications will determine hire order.
This is all assuming no furloughs and not having to hire furloughed UA pilots.
Essentially- its going to be a while, so find something to do for the next year or so.

How about you knock off this **** of spamming the forums about hiring while we have 3 complete sets of Regional pilots on the street with another group on furlough? Let's get them back first before anybody thinks about hiring your low-time self into the right seat.
