Weird some how I’m out of vacation time in my bank. I see a Christmas week of vacation went unfilled! It is on you to bid correctly…or complain on the internet about…stuff

Default This thread actually makes me feel better

Interviewed almost three weeks ago and have had almost no contact since. Did get a very brief "decisions are still being made" reply when I pinged the recruiter after about a week and a half, but sounds like I'm not alone in this experience.

All I have really done so far is fill out the new hire registration form and that's about it.
You aren't going to **** anyone off by reaching out, but don't expect to be successful at actually speaking to anyone either. I don't know how far out they're scheduling Indoc classes, but they'll likely give you a month or so notice before your class start date.

On some FB forums I’ve read Class Dates of March 2023 and beyond we’re starting to be assigned. But I have zero first hand knowledge of this. Good Luck.

you are not alone. There are not enough people in hiring to deal with the regular classes, yet alone extra workload,

Hiring substantially more FOs than you have CAs to fly with just slows the experienced FOs from getting the hours they need to upgrade. Slow them enough and the experienced guys say screw it, I can fly my butt off as a junior FO at one of the ULCCs and they leave planning on getting a new type and enough hours there to be competitive for their career airline. Unless you are DEC eligible, new hires are going to have to wait a mite. If you ARE DEC eligible you go to the head of the class.

Because those FO’s are going to leave the minute a ULCC comes calling no matter how many hours they are blocking at SkyWest.
