Default Hurry up and wait

I signed my CJO in October and have not heard a peep. I know this is a long process and I’m trying to be patient. My question is now that I’ve signed a job offer can sky west back out of it? They aren’t going to send me an email one day and say they filled their pilot quota and they no longer need me? I was unwise in telling my current employer that I accepted a job with Skywest. He has upgraded to a bigger citation and does not want to pay for my training if I’m leaving at some arbitrary date. I should have just kept my mouth shut. Feel free to cyber bully me

Not cyberbullying - everybody makes mistakes - but generally speaking it's best to give your two weeks notice (or whatever your contractually mandated notice period is) as close as possible to that interval before your intro class date. God willing, you will have future opportunities to put that in practice. Just don't make the same mistake twice.

Sorry to hear that.

Of course they can back out of it. The C stands for conditional.

I'd expect some movement this year and if you are dead set on the only non-union regional then sit tight. If your goal is gaining 121 PIC time as quickly as possible (it should be) you should be applying to every 121 turbojet operator.

Many people would be jealous of your SIC job so that's probably why you got comfortable waiting. So the silver lining is now that the cat is out of the bag you need a job so don't stop looking until you get one.

You're welcome. He's kindly answering some dude's question, sitting at a legacy and you have to interject with some junior high BS about someone being butt hurt about a regional. Impressive...
