But it's July, and I went to the source and got new information. I'll eat crow and tell you that you better get ready for 1500TT (ATP) for minimums...

I heard the same, but just to be clear I heard (from CE) soon it will be ATP minimums (and written), but not required to actually have the ATP pilot certificate.

Makes sense, they can give you the ATP on the checkride.

However...a word of caution to the noobs: A PC checkride which is just for a 121 operating privilege is held to a somewhat lower standard than an ATP ride. The examiner has more flexibility to retrain you on the spot and then try the maneuver again. If it's an ATP ride, they can't let much slide. I'm not sure I would advocate blowing a couple grand on an ATP before your class date for that reason, but it's something to be aware of. Bottom line, you might be held to a higher standard than past new hires.

Good point, but I was REALLY impressed with the new program. Lots of sim time, and tons of resources. As usual, they wanted us to pass with flying colors. I've heard the only people having issues were people expecting to slide through without actually studying (many were even current SkyWest FOs).

Applied around June 21st, got the call for an interview yesterday, interview July 25th. Times are 1776/1776 with ATP, all military time.

Received an email stating they are very interested (rolls eyes) but looking for 1,500tt and let them know as soon as you meet it.

Does SkyWest have AQP? If so, they don't do the typical checkride. They do a Maneuvers Validation (which you can retrain on, up to one maneuver in each category up to 3 total), then the LOE which is the actual "8710 event". No different standards than a typical recurrent ride.

Your description of an AQP ride is correct. However, I think they are referring to new ATP's. I believe the first time ATP/Type ride is different than a recurrent AQP. It will be a higher standard.

And yes, OO has AQP.

Did my initial ATP under AQP and it was the process I described.

It probably depends what program approval the company has from the mighty FAA.

My understanding is that the first checkride is a traditional PC, and then you go on the AQP plan.

As a military guy they will be very interested in why you want to work at SKW, and what your future plans are. They don't want to train you only to have you bail in 6 months for FDX. Just be aware.
