Lets not forget Atlantic Southeast Airlines...I mean Atlantic Southeast..I mean Surejet....I mean Expressjet went through 3 name changes..Who knows how much that cost and honestly, "It doesn't matter how we got here."
I'm not buying the Mx cost BS. Anyone on the ASA side who has flown through IAD knows darn well Mx is pencil whipping the heck out of those planes

The only way you can justify losing money is if you have money to lose, and SKW has a lot of it.

One gets a feeling that Inc. management considers itself to be good at turning around stagnating companies. They have purchased several dogs recently (no disrespect to the labor forces at these airlines. I think it's been clearly an issue of poor managment) and given enough time Inc will get these "investments" profitable.

Nevets, we've been over this a million times. I know you don't like Skywest Inc. I know you don't like Skywest Inc. mgmt...However they aren't idiots...You want a single carrier so that you have more leverage to extract more expensive pilot contracts....This would also give the FAs and Mechanics more leverage to extract more expensive contracts...Which would raise costs more than any savings from a single GO and single mgmt.....Do you really think they are that stupid that they would give us that leverage and believe it would save them money? Seriously?

So tell me, why do you want a single list? Isn't it to stop the whipsaw? Heck how many times do we say that on these message boards....The whipsaw lowers costs...Ending that raises costs...Merging everyone won't lower costs....I'm actually for a single list, but it sure won't lower costs, and it isn't going to happen...

OVERREACTION POLICE
CRIME: Farmlover used too many exclamation points and just wanted to prove how "pro one list" he is by showing how willing he is to blast someone who may not agree with him.
FACT: JoeMerchant was simply highlighting management's reason to avoid a single list, he neither endorsed nor opposed the idea.
PUNISHMENT: Nothing. This is an internet forum and you are free to be as short sighted and ignorant (or condescending in my case) as you would like.
Carry on

Anyways, if you've been over this a million times, why go over it with a million and one times? You have your opinion and I have mine. I'm perfectly happy and comfortable with that.

Too bad that while you're smugly proving your point you are also slitting your own throat.

This perverse sentiment is symbolic of why our country is going to hell: hate your employer, hate the president (this one, or the last one), hope to see them all fail in a blaze of righteous glory.
Too bad that while you're smugly proving your point you are also slitting your own throat.
