If you want to talk difficult flying try some of the uncontrolled mountain airports that endeavor goes into, oh wait they don't do any of those.

"That's enough!" growled the bear, "tell the rabbit and me,
how far did you look and just what did you see?"

"Well boys" the worm answered, "that look that I took
Was a look that looked farther than YOU'LL ever look...
I looked cross the ocean, way out to Japan
for I can see farther than anyone can
I looked past Japan, then I looked across China
I looked across Egypt, then took a quick glance
across the two countries of Holland and France
Then I looked across England and also, Brazil
And I didn't stop there, I looked much farther still
and I kept right on looking and looking until
I'd looked round the world and right back to this hill
and I saw on this hill, since my eyesight's so keen
the two BIGGEST FOOLS that have ever been seen
and the fools that I saw were none other than you
who seem to have nothing else better to do
than sit here and argue who's better than who"

Then the little old worm gave his head a small jerk
and he dived in his hole and he went back to work

Exactly, they both work for contract carriers. People are ridiculous, the better one is the one that will get you on to your next job the fastest.

SkyWest - although a fantastic operator is nothing compared to the complex operation that Endeavor runs. If anyone's operations are confined it's that of SkyWest. Which largest hub - SLC - happens to be Delta's most on time.

And closing in on 250 days in this year without a single cancellation. 40 straight days right now, mind you. Endeavor runs a better operation in an environment much more difficult than SKW.

Cool story bro, don't you have a "indentured servitude" I mean retention bonus to cash?

Brazzi 10-23-2015 01:05 PM

Are you guys serious? My regional is better than yours?

DMEarc 10-23-2015 06:48 PM

You're all idiots. I can't believe I wasted my time reading that garbage. You Skywest guys are children and Smittey sounds like a lifer.

Move on. They are both bottom feeders.

Step on your little regional toes?

Stop defending these sweatshops and help us make it better! Unionize!

I hate that my airline outsources any flying and to see they way you Skywest guys act on this thread just makes me more upset. But as you showed Smittey, no ones opinion matters if it puts down the almighty Skywest.

No need to unionize just take back ALL the flying,
and stop speaking in absolute as in "YOU SkyWest guys" Are you the type of person who dislike a group of folks because of what a few says or act? Just a question.

Well, then don't VOTE your damn flying away!

We are the real losers of that deal. Not you.

A union representing a regional is kind of a joke. Just look around at the union carriers and tell me how much unity there is.

But, but, but we want SkyWest or better work rules and pay in our contract..... When the rest of the regionals stop trying to negotiate what we have you might have something. Until then....

Huh, seems like you've had one to many hard landings. Please give me one example of other carriers asking to meet Skywest's contract????

I believe DL did in their recent TA negotiations.

If that's the case it would've been a couple steps backwards. Still not an example though. Would be nice to see a factual reference

DL doesn't even have cancellation pay!

buddies8 10-24-2015 09:41 AM

Neither does american. You have to volunteer to be reassigned.

Well I guess that proves Skywest has the better contract. My bad, I didn't realize. I always thought they took bits and pieces from other contracts too keep them just good enough to keep the unions away. Also, what's going on with your brothers and sisters at Express Jet? I don't see much support from the Skywest side

I heard today from a reliable source that there's a flow agreement with these Delta planes. To Virgin Atlantic.

APC shows that Gojet is represented by the Teamsters, at least as of a month ago.

Try to make your trolling at least factually accurate.

CL65driver 10-25-2015 11:02 AM

Well, SkyWest does have a "me too" clause... so, in essence, our union is negotiating for them as well. If that's not leeching, I don't know what is.

Paid2flyfast 10-25-2015 11:03 AM

An incoming pilot, would it be smart to bid the 175 as it's going to be senior who of which will move on in the next few years or stay with the RJ as many current RJ pilots will be moving over?

My advice is to choose the airframe which will offer you the fastest relative seniority and allows you the easiest commute from home.

Earliest start date. Drivable domicile from home, most movement. Not necessarily in that order.

The majors don't pick guys based on the aircraft they fly. Just pick one that's based where you want to be based. You can always switch aircraft too.
