I think the idea is that, if the FFD model completely comes apart, could SKW make it as a stand-alone airline.

It is possible...but there'd be a lot to prepare in terms of marketing, sales, customer service, etc, that none of the regionals have experience with or infrastructure for that they'd have to invent. Plus they'd have to secure their own gate leases and other contracts at the airports. It would be a pretty high hurdle, but certainly doable.
