Ha! Don't tell the guys who only think people are leaving SWA that...the game of musical chairs is in full swing.

For someone getting hired today, it's a complete toss up. I'm not denying that WN's upgrade time is long, but DL (and UA and AA) have hired hundreds (thousand?) even before WN started to hire. Right now, I'd rather have people coming in behind me than being towards the end of wave at the others.

You REALLY need to research your retirement and hiring numbers because you’re way off.

if your endgame is WB CA, he’s not wrong. You’ll likely never see the left seat of a WB if hired now at DL. UAL/AA…maybe.

Hey fellas -- I was lucky enough to be offered a CJO a few weeks ago. Anybody that lives in BWI care to give a rundown of good places to live within reasonable driving distance of the airport? Thanks!

Welcome to SWA Kcdriver! There are 3 main areas that most Bwi drive to work guys live in.

1)Annapolis/Severna Park area. Offers the shortest drive but highest tax burden. Proximity to the Chesapeake is a plus if you like the water.
2) York Pa. Longer drive 90-100mins, lower taxes & cost of living in a smaller town.
3) Dulles area which includes Ashburn/Leesburg/Purceville & areas North not including Maryland. Medium-high cost of living, moderate tax burden with decent schools. Drive can be 50-100mins depending on specific location.

There are a handful who live in the DC/Alexandria/Arlington area but traffic here can present a real challenge along with the much higher cost of living. Might be ok for a single guy or gal though.

I have heard good things about Perry Hall and Bel Air. Affordable and 45 minutes or so to BWI

Friend of mine lives in Perry Hall. Newer developments, and easy drive to BWI.

Don’t count out West Virginia. Seriously. Have you turned on the news lately?
