Oh ya, don't forget this little get out of jail free card that the company is leaving for themselves to demand further concessions and provide themselves with enough wiggle room to furlough if they feel like it:
  • In return, Pilots will not be subject to furloughs for 2021, nor any further wage or work rule concessions beyond those in this side letter, barring any unforeseen and catastrophic circumstances.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Settle the grievances, fix the LOL/medical abortion, fire VDV, CK, and RM, sell alcohol, allow unused aisle and window seats to be filled, and you got a deal. No?

Well FUPM.

RJSAviator76 10-09-2020 04:35 PM

LOL... how many days does that buy us? 1? 2 per month?

Send me my WARN notice Gary

No mention from CK in his message of concessions being rolled back if PSP2 comes through. Another reason to vote NO!!!!

But they had my NO vote already at 10% TFP cut.

And, the people who agreed to take a ~40% pay cut on ETO are now gonna be given an even bigger pay cut. SWAPA said in their email that the company's response to that idea, after their fake applauding of everybody who took the ETO, was that they knew the risk.

Fair enough.

Well, the company also knew the risk of agreeing to our CBA.

The company knew the risk of $9.9B in share repurchases and dividends since 2014 rather than saving it for contingencies.

The company knew the risk of over-hiring thousands of pilots.

The company knew the risk of breaking faith with us when we agreed to the -800 side letter for nothing in return.

The company knew the risk of dragging out our 2012 negotiations for four years.

So how many furloughs are they talking? Should have a pretty good idea since they “need” 10% (not 9.45% or 11.23% etc) salary reduction.

Seems silly to reduce pay when you’re paying green bars. I’m no expert but to me it makes more sense to reduce MPG which would self correct.

Weird that the company didn’t even make reducing min guarantee a bargaining point. Makes me think they’d rather just go ahead and furlough.

Is it too late to put in for the early-out?

Attention any BOD members or SWAPA execs who may be lurking here:

-Do not send this SL to the membership for a vote. Not worth our time.

2500 is my guess

Absolutely no, none, nada, zero concessions. Agreed. BOD/execs don't send this out for a vote.

Let Gary Kelly and his VP's own their mismanagement. I doubt they even wanna furlough. They're probably just seeing if we're dumb enough to ratify something this bad. Win-win for them. They win if we are dumb enough. They win if we turn it down and then, they get to change their minds about furloughing in a couple of months and look like heroes.
