SWA about to start PHX/LAS/LAX to Hawaii
Bids out for FA’s. The Max gonna start longer routes. Hopefully Hawaii gets it sh$t together. Might be time to throw -700’s out there to keep MAX cycles down for interisland

I was skeptical when I first heard this story, but I have now seen the FA bid pack and these flights are indeed in there. I am sure the company is waiting for Max ETOPS approval (allegedly any day now) to market them.
If this comes to fruition, it's bonkers. It has Watterson's fingerprints all over it. These are the new flights:
LAX - HNL, OGG, KOA, and LIH
SAN - OGG, KOA, and LIH
LAS - HNL and OGG
PHX - HNL and OGG
OAK - LIH
SJC - LIH
It makes sense based on the info that I heard from a HQ dude that we are going to 45 flights a day from the mainland. It also makes sense with the ETOPS bid group growth. PHX next?

With what Canada charges for ATC services? This is the same company that will route airplanes hundreds of miles off course just to stay in US airspace and avoid paying NavCanada for overflights...

I'd prefer this personally, but the BLI add is an indication that makes me doubtful of any indication of truly jumping in on the great White north.
